Jacqueline D. Pizzo, 83, of Dunmore, died Wednesday, March 20 at Allied Services Hospice Center in Scranton.
Born on Jan. 24, 1941, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Genevieve O’Malley. Jackie was a graduate of Dunmore High School.
Jackie spent her life raising her four daughters. She had incredible love and pride in her girls and their families. People were drawn to Jackie’s sense of humor, her quick wit, her charismatic personality and her boundless energy, nothing could keep Jackie down.
She is survived by her four daughters, Leigh Ann Bonacci, husband, John, Spring Brook Twp.; Tona Vitale, husband, Jim, Monroe, N.C.; Nicky Pizzo, husband, Aaron Gorban, Gorham, N.H.; Robin Pizzo, Rio Dell, Calif.; her grandchildren, Joseph Bonacci and wife, Shannon; Christie Bonacci, fiancé, Kurt Scoby; L.E Stafford (Vitale), husband, Harrison; Gena and Jimmy Vitale, Lily Gorban, Sunny David Clark and Cash Augustine; two great-grandchildren, Lou Bonacci and Rocco Scoby; a brother, Frank O’Malley; a sister, Joanne Butler; sisters-in-law, Ila O’Malley, Jan O’Malley; Isabel McAndrews, husband, Briggs; and Donna Tanfield; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her beloved dog Jewels gave her great comfort and companionship.
Jackie was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe O’Malley, Jack O’Malley; sisters, Marie McHugh (Thomas), Ann Knot (Harold); nephews, Tommy, Ronnie and Donnie McHugh, and Scott McAndews; a niece, Kathy Calpin; brothers-in-law, Richard Tanfield and Jerry Butler; and recently passed in January, former husband, Anthony Pizzo.
The family would like to thank Allied Hospice, Scranton. Allied Hospice nurses, client liaisons, social worker, chaplain, everyone that spoke to us and listened. We want to thank you for keeping our mom as comfortable as possible through her journey. The staff went above and beyond to show their kindness and compassion toward our mom and our family and we will always be remembered and grateful.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 8, at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church St., Moscow, by the Rev. Thomas M. Muldowney, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment and rite of committal to follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Covington Twp.
All those attending are asked to go directly to the church that morning.
