Rose M. "Rosebud" (Gaetano) Rinaldi

Rose M. ‘Rosebud” Rinaldi, 94, died early Tuesday morning at her home. She was the wife of the late Alex Rinaldi who died in 1990.

Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Josephine Caputo Gaetano and attended Dunmore High School having graduated Valedictorian. Rosebud was a lifelong member of SS. Anthony & Rocco Parish in Dunmore and was a member of its choir for 72 years as well as a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. In addition she was a member of the Dunmore Community Chorus, the Dunmore Senior Center, and the Lackawanna County Federation of Democratic Women. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was devoted to St. Anthony and St. Jude.

Surviving is her daughter in law and caregiver, Mary Rinaldi, two godsons, Joseph M. Caputo, Esq., and Patrick Kiesendahl, a goddaughter, Patti Kiesendahl, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a son William P. Rinaldi and a sister Mary Ann McEvoy.

Her family wishes to thank her outstanding caregivers, Karen, Regina, Darcy, Lisa, Jodi, Kathie, Kim, and Vita, for their devotion in providing loving care to Rosebud.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street in Dunmore. Interment will be held in the Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
