Andrew C. Summa

Andrew C. Summa, 70, Scranton, died Thursday at Allied Services Hospice Center.  He is survived by his beloved wife, the former Mary Tyson.

Born in Scranton, son of the late James Summa and Jean Ferelli Mirto, he was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School.  He was a motorcyclist and car enthusiast who enjoyed music and loved his grandchildren.

Also surviving, children Julie Powell and husband John, Scranton; and Jeffrey Summa, VA; grandchildren Natalie Summa and Jackson Powell; sisters Vita Grace Davis and husband Reese, Souderton, and Lucy Summa, Dunmore; brothers Alan and wife Laura, Moscow, and Mark, Dunmore; mother-in-law Mary Tyson, Scranton; sisters-and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins.

He was also preceded in death by brothers Dominick and James Summa, Jr., and Christopher Mirto; and father-in-law Francis D. Tyson.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at noon in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore.  Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
