Angela M. Cipriano, Dunmore, died Thursday at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Salvatore Cipriano, on January 8, 1973.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Rose Mecca Bonavoglia, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was a member at SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the City of Scranton. Always known for being a great dresser, Angela was also excellent at baking and cooking Italian dishes for her family at get-togethers.
Surviving is a son, Anthony M. Cipriano, Olyphant; granddaughter Kristen Cipriano; her sisters, Ann Becchetti and Marie Donnini, both of Dunmore, and Margaret Symuleski and husband Joseph, Moosic; nieces and nephews, especially Donald “Chuck” Tucker, his wife Tracy, and their son Matthew, with whom she shared a special bond.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters Dolores “Dee Dee” Bonavoglia and Lucille Tucker; as well as her brothers, Anthony, James, and infant Vincent Bonavoglia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. in the St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith St., Dunmore. All those attending the mass are asked to follow current safety guidelines in respect to wearing a mask and social distancing.
Interment to follow in Dunmore Cemetery.
