Ann Kofel, 94, of Dunmore, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9th at Regional Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late George Kofel, who preceded her in death in September 1999.
Ann was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Halachan) Pucher. She attended Scranton public schools and was employed as a seamstress at Manhattan Shirt. Ann was a devoted member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Dunmore, where she was a devoted and cherished member of the parish community for nearly 70 years.
She is survived by son George and wife Sharon of Dunmore; grandson Michael and wife Malinda, granddaughter Michelle and husband Michael Taramelli; great-grandchildren Maximus Kofel, Lucy, Julie and Benjamin Taramelli, all of Pittsburgh. Ann always looked forward to phone calls and visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ann is also survived by her sister Julia Yevich, Scranton and brother Frank Pucher, Mount Cobb, along with several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by sisters Catherine Pucher, Mary Babich, Helen Martarano and Margaret Weiksner; brothers Michael, John, Peter, and George; and infant son Michael.
The Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial following Byzantine Rite tradition was held on September 13th at St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Dunmore officiated by Rev. Robert Lozinski. Interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Dunmore.

Ann will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
