Anna Lisak, 75, of Scranton, died Thursday at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton after a long illness.
Born in Moscow, Russia, she was the daughter of the late Mikhail Leyptsin and Sarra Ufberg. After graduating from college, she worked in logistics for many years, before coming to the United Stated with her family in 1992.
She was married to the late Vadim Lisak for 17 years before his death in 1987. After coming to Scranton in 1992, she worked as a bookkeeper for local businesses before her retirement in 2009. She was a member of Temple Israel in Scranton.
Anna was a very kind, caring, and hard-working person. She had many friends and she was always trying to help others.
Anna is survived by her son, Victor Lisak, Lincoln Park, NJ; as well as cousins, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her companion, Yuriy Gidalevich, who passed away in 2020.
A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the Dalton Jewish Cemetery.
Shiva will be observed at Anna’s house on Sunday 4:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m.; and Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
