Anthony F. Gurnari III

Anthony F. Gurnari III, 71, of West Scranton passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday May 29.

He is survived by his companion of 35 years Jean Geary.

Born in Scranton on December 7, 1953 son of the late Anthony F. and Evlyn McCloskey Gurnari II.

Anthony was an avid pool player, shooting pool with the Scranton Pool league. He enjoyed camping, and liked to show his love through cooking for his family and friends.

Anthony is proceeded in death by his brother Christopher and sister Susan Gurnari.

He is survived by his sons Anthony Gurnari IV, of Waymart, George Hulse, of Scranton, daughters Tina Strasburger, of FL, Tammy McHale, of Scranton, Dorothy Ann Miller, of Greenfield Twp, Daughter in Law Tracy Evans, of Scranton, brothers Jack and Donnie Gurnari, 12 Grandchildren Anthony V, Tommy, Jennifer, Stacey, John, George Jr. Alyssa, Michael, Matthew, Kierstin, Madeline, Kody, and Great Grandson Gemson.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon from Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave. Scranton, PA. Interment will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore, PA. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
