Antoinette T. Lewis, 87, of Dalton and formerly of West Scranton, died Monday evening at home. She was the widow of the late Benjamin J., Sr. who died in 2004. The couple had been married for 50 years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Stephanie Farro Agentowicz and was a 1951 graduate of West Scranton High School.
She enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City and going to the casinos. She also enjoyed shopping, taking car rides and listening to music, especially the Polka. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Antoinette’s family wishes to thank Dr. Thomas Roe and staff, Dr. Henry Yeager and staff, Dr. Richard Weinberg and staff, Allied Home Health, especially Jill Williams and Allied Hospice for all of their care and compassion over the years.
Surviving are daughters; Shari Lewis and companion Kim Flach, Delaware, Margaret Lewis and companion Joe Mulderig, Dalton. Sons; John and wife Rosemary, Throop and Benjamin, Jr. and wife Gracemarie, Dalton. Grandchildren; Matthew Lewis and wife Stacy and Marissa Lewis. A sister; Joan Norton, Clarks Summit. A sister-in-law; Evelyn Agentowicz. Nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by a brother; Anthony Agentowicz.
Private services will be Thursday at Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton, Carl J. Savino, Jr., supervisor.
Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Scott Township.
