Barbara A. Stolten, 84, of Scranton, passed away Sunday afternoon at Marywood Heights in Scranton. She was the widow of the late Ernest J. Stolten, Sr. who passed away on September 22, 2022. The couple had been married for 64 years.
Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes Pacanowski Dombroski. Prior to retirement, she was an LPN at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton.
Family meant everything to Barbara. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, sewing and took great pride in her job as an LPN. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving is a son Ernest J., Jr. and wife Cynthia, Scranton. Daughters, Barbara Masko and husband John, Olyphant and Lynn Rahman and husband Shafique, Queens, NY. Grandchildren, Nicholas, Eric, Matthew and Daniel Stolten, Louis Ferri, Allia Josephs, Layla Karascony, Michael and Catrina Masko. Ten great-grandchildren. Sisters, Jane Demkovich and husband William, Dickson City, Rosemary Gustave and husband John, W. Chester. A sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Leo, FL. A brother-in-law, Frank Stolten and wife Pam, CA. Nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
The funeral will be Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram St. Scranton.
Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00am until the time of Mass.
