Barbara J. Goodman Ehrenpreis, Scranton, died Sunday at home, a day after her 94th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon H. Ehrenpreis, in 2014.
Born November 2, 1930 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Edna Lonker Goodman, she was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and had been a member of Temple Israel and its Sisterhood.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Ehrenpreis and wife Robin of Sands Point, NY, and Scott Ehrenpreis of Rye Brook, NY; grandchildren Brette, Mark, and Lindsay Ehrenpreis, Randall Ehrenpreis and wife Allison; great-grandchildren Maddox and Romy; nephews Jon Goodman and wife Mary Jane of Clarks Summit, and their children Lucas and Jake; Andy Goodman and wife Joanne of Redondo Beach, CA, and their children Ben Goodman and wife Jessica, and Zach Goodman and wife Almasa and Joshua Goodman and wife Mallory, and their twin sons Caleb and Miles of Atlanta, GA.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Maxine Ehrenpreis, and her brother, Nelson J. Goodman.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 6th at 11 a.m. in Temple Israel Cemetery, Dunmore by Rabbi Miriam Spitzer and Cantor Vladimir Aronzon.
Friends will be received during shiva at the home of Michael and Robin Ehrenpreis, 54 Middle Road, Sands Point, NY 11050 on Thursday, November 7th from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; and Friday, November 8th from 1-4 p.m.
