Betty Jean Sherman, 81, Scranton, died peacefully at home with her son Kenneth by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold James Sherman Sr.
Born in Justus, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lena Antoine Brown Sr. She enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, camping, fishing, and just being outdoors. She was an avid walker who loved walking just about anywhere she needed to go. She was the sweetest and kindest person, always smiling, and loved her family dearly.
Surviving are sons Kenneth Sherman and Joel Turney; daughter Christine Turney Pringle; stepson Harold Sherman Jr.; niece Wanda Brown; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Friday at noon in SavinoTraditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave., West Scranton. Carl J. Savino, Jr., Supervisor.
Family and friends may pay their respects that morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Township.
