Beverly Itzkowitz, age 94, formerly of Scranton, died on June 23rd in Alexandria, VA after a full and rich life.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Beatrice Bernstein Braunstein, and sister to Judy Goldstein and the late Rhea Engelmyer.
She was the beloved wife of the late Sidney Itzkowitz and co-owner of the former Jefferson Towne House and Itzkowitz Catering Service in Scranton, PA.
She was the loving mother of Ted Itzkowitz (Barbara), Fern Kadoshy (Uri), the late Gary Itzkowitz (Patricia), and Mari Itzkowitz (Kevin-deceased). She was grandmother to Adam, Avishai (Nadav), and Brete. She also had two great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
Her beautiful smile, her empathic ear, her hard working nature, and delicious food will be remembered by all.
A private graveside service will be livestreamed on the funeral home’s Facebook page Sunday at 10 a.m. by Rabbi Daniel Swartz.
