Caesar F. Bordo

Caesar F. Bordo, Dunmore, passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, in Hospice of the Sacred Heart surrounded by his family. He was 89 years old, born on Sept. 9, 1932. He was the son of the late James and Anna (Gervasi) Bordo. Shortly after finishing school at Dunmore, he entered the National Guard 109th Division along with a few of his other buddies from Dunmore.

Caesar worked in his younger years for his father's plastering company, J.R. Bordo Plastering, before starting his own construction company, C.F. Bordo Inc., in 1972.

His passion later in life was spending time in Puerto Rico with some family among many friends. He also loved to eat out at restaurants, all the way out as far as Philadelphia, NYC, and of course, Puerto Rico. Although, work always came first and was his main hobby. Caesar was a master at his trade of plastering, and he loved what he did.

He is survived by two siblings, Antionette Riccardo and Ann Marie Maus and husband, Howard Maus; four children, James C. Bordo and companion, Judith Cobb, Mary Anne Bordo, Patty Condon and Kim Voyles. Also surviving are his seven grandchildren, Caesar Bordo and wife, Rebecca Bordo, Amanda Bordo and companion, Justin Mulea, Ashley Mulkerin, Brittany Condon, Carmella Condon, Corey Condon and Matt Voyles; as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two nieces, Kathy Ann Maus Colosimo and Karen Ann Bordo; and nephew, Howard Maus Jr.

Those who knew Caesar described him as a respected businessman, hard worker and extremely outgoing with many friends. He will surely be missed by many.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Chestnut Street, Dunmore. Interment, Mount Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore.

Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
