Carmella Ann Demko, 87, Dunmore, died Tuesday evening in Allied Services Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Demko who died in 2021.
Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Peter Thomas and Bernetta Ross LoRusso, was a graduate of Dunmore High School and prior to retirement worked as a cashier at both Fidelity and First National Community Banks in Dunmore. She enjoyed traveling to casinos and dinners with her husband Bob.
Surviving are two sisters in law, Frances Menin and Carol LoRusso, a nephew Michael LoRusso and fiancé, Janeen Holmes and her son’s Colin and Shane Holmes; nieces, Michele LoRusso Murazzi and husband, John Murazzi Jr., and Debra White and husband, Jack; grandnieces and grandnephews, Ashley LoRusso Torbeck and Kevin Torbeck, Peter LoRusso and Ava and Angelo Murazzi.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas P. “Sugar” LoRusso, Sr. and a nephew Thomas P. LoRusso, Jr.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore with Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street in Dunmore. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 8:30AM-9:30AM. Inurnment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Dunmore.
