Carmella Stawinsky, 64, Scranton, died Saturday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She is survived by her husband Stephen Stawinsky.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Stanley Sr. and Carmella Addesa Bell, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and Vocational-Technical school where she excelled in painting and decorating.
A loving wife, mom, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Carmella’s family was the center of her world. She was dedicated to her grandkids and loved her daughter and best friend, Stacey.
Carmella will be remembered for the love of family, the joy she found in sunny days, and the passion she had for playing darts.
Also surviving is her daughter Stacey Thomas and husband Russell; a brother Stanely Bell, Jr.; grandchildren Emily Carmella Thomas and Russell William Thomas; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Patricia Bell and beloved dog, Ringo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William St., Scranton. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp.
All those attending should go directly to the church.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave., West Scranton.
