Carmen DeNaples Obituary

Carmen Perry DeNaples, 58, of Dalton, died Thursday at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton. He and his wife, the former Roxanne Pezzuti, celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on May 30, 2020.

Born in Scranton, son of Patrick "P.J." DeNaples Jr., Dunmore, and the late Patricia Ann Perry DeNaples, he was a graduate of Dunmore High School, class of 1981, and was a co-owner of the family-owned business, DeNaples Sanitation Inc. He was also a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a lifetime member of the Reading Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles and hunting. He was a devoted, loving, caring and hardworking husband, father, son, nephew, cousin and friend who will be dearly missed.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Geisinger Community Medical Center Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit, Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Allied Hospice, and especially his cousin and friend, Dr. Louis DeNaples.

Also surviving are his children, Atty. Ciara DeNaples, Carmen Perry DeNaples Jr., and Adriana DeNaples; his sisters, Maria DeNaples Nardelli and husband, Joseph, and Gina DeNaples Scarborough and husband, Jason; his brothers, Patrick DeNaples III and companion, Kate Kollar, Michael DeNaples and companion, Joann Glinsky, and Dino DeNaples and wife, Stephanie; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Lucy Riccardo Pezzuti; sister-in-law, Cheryl Simon and husband, Mitchell; and brother-in-law, Robert Pezzuti and wife, Dana.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carmen and Maria Catherine DePietro Perry; his paternal grandparents, Patrick Sr. and Margaret Mary Gallo DeNaples; his uncle, Saverio "Sam" DeNaples, and infant uncle, Nicholas DeNaples; an aunt, Carmella DeNaples Padula; and his father-in-law, Robert Pezzuti.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately due to COVID-19. Interment will be held in St. Michael's Cemetery, Dunmore. There are no public calling hours.
