Carol A. Booth, 83, of Scranton, passed away Saturday afternoon at home after a five-year battle with cancer. Surviving is her husband, Daniel J. The couple celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 16, 2021.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Nancy Terreri Datti and was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore. Prior to retirement, she was a machine operator at Topps Chewing Gum.
She was an avid reader and a New York Yankees fan. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting Las Vegas with her husband. Her favorite pasttime was going to her grandchildren’s sporting events. Carol loved taking care of her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Anthony Freda and her caretaker, Sandy from First Light Home Health Care for all of their care and compassion.
Also surviving are daughters, Carol Monahan and husband, John, Lititz, Pa.; and Barbara Kelly and husband, Daniel, Scranton; sons, Daniel Jr. and wife, Joanne, Oakland, Maine; and Robert and wife Jenna, Scranton; grandchildren, Margaret Solis and husband, Tony; Zachary Booth and wife, Matilde; Nicholas Booth and wife, Hayley; Kyle Booth and wife, Alycia; Danny Kelly, Gianna and Cayden Booth; great-grandchildren, Maevia Solis, Nicholas Booth Jr., Emma Lynn Booth, Rocco Solis and Kylen Booth; several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters- and brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Datti.
