Concetta "Connie" Marie Hayes

Concetta “Connie” Marie Hayes, 71, of Dunmore, passed away Wednesday evening at Regional Hospital in Scranton. Surviving is her husband, Patrick T. Hayes, D.D.S. The couple had been married for 48 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore” Sam” and Carmella “Millie” Perry DePrimo and was a member of SS Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore. She was a graduate of Dunmore High school and received an associate’s degree from the former Moses Taylor School of Radiological Technology. Prior to retirement, she worked as an x-ray technician for 40 years.

Connie was a cub scout leader for many years at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Dunmore and was a past president of the Scranton District Dental Society Alliance. Connie adored children and remembered everyone’s birthday. She was a wonderful cook and was loving and caring to everyone she touched. She was a loving wife and mother who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Also surviving is her son, Casey, New Hampshire. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond DePrimo.

The funeral will be Monday from the Carlucci-Golden-Desantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith St., Dunmore.

Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.

Friends and Family may call on Sunday from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
