David A. Petriello

David A. Petriello, 55, Scranton, died Friday at home.  He is survived by his wife, the former Marcinda “Cindy” Harrity.

Born in Dunmore, son of the late Dr. Joseph and Irene Balassa Petriello, he was a graduate of Dunmore High School, and the former Marywood College, Scranton.  He later went on to graduate from Lackawanna College through the Act 120 program.  Dave was currently employed by A. Duie Pyle.  He was also a member of the Basilica of St. Ann in Scranton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by their son, Sammy Petriello, West Scranton, who was his pride and joy, and with whom he spent all of his time; his brothers, Alan Petriello and wife Roseann, Clarks Summit; and Mark Petriello and wife Lucy of, Minooka section of Scranton; his mother-in-law, Midge Harrity, Scranton; sister-in-law Sandra Petriello, Moosic; brothers-in-law Jack Harrity and wife Karen, and Chris Harrity, all of Scranton; nephews, Joseph, Alan Michael, and Brian James Petriello, and Jack Harrity; a niece, Cassidy Harrity;  and numerous cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Petriello.

A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends.
