Deborah A. Celano-Englehardt, 65, of Dunmore, died Wednesday at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest John Englehardt, in 2013.
Born in Scranton, daughter of Lois DeVol Celano, Dunmore, and the late, Joseph M. Celano, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School class of 1972 and Meridian School of Nursing. Before retirement, she was employed for 38 years at Moses Taylor Hospital. Deborah was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Scranton.
She is also survived by her son, who was the light of her life, E.J. Englehardt and wife, Morgan, Peckville; a sister-in-law, Sally Celano, Archbald; a niece, Katie Wright and husband, Alan, Archbald; a grandnephew, Bennett Wright, Archbald; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Celano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave., Scranton. Interment to follow in Dunmore Cemetery, Dunmore.
Family and friends may call Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
Due to our current pandemic, all those attending are kindly and respectfully asked to socially distance without direct contact while giving condolences, and are required to wear a mask immediately upon entering the church.
