Dina Sonstein-Berman , 38, of Clarks Summit passed away on 9/1/2025, after a courageous journey with Crohn’s disease, addiction, and mental health challenges. Though her path was marked with struggles, she faced them with resilience and a deep strength that inspired those who loved her.
Born on November 23,1986 in Englewood NJ, Dina will be remembered not only for the hardships she endured, but for the light she brought to others. A gifted athlete, she was a talented soccer player whose dedication and skill earned her a scholarship to Montclair Kimberly Academy. Her determination carried into her education, where she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Ithaca University.
Beyond her personal achievements, Dina worked relentlessly to help others struggling with addiction find hope and access treatment. Her compassion and advocacy touched many lives and created ripples of healing for people and families in need.
She had a kind heart, a quick wit, and a spirit that drew people in. Despite the battles she carried, she found joy in her beloved Shiba Inu’s Shay and Roman. and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Dina’s life is a reminder of both the fragility and strength of the human spirit. Her story carries truth, courage, and the hope that others may find healing and compassion in their own journeys.
She is survived by her wife Kelly Corazzi-Berman, Clark’s Summit, her mother Shelli Sonstein-Schaninger and her husband John, Upper Black Eddy, two brothers Aaron Berman and wife Melissa Los Angeles, and Ryan and wife Ericka, Novato, CA and two nephews, Zach and Evan. Dina is preceded in death by her father and both maternal and paternal grandparents
A private memorial service will be held for immediate family. In honor of her memory, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Crohn’s foundation and or Animal Rescue of your choice.
