Donald D. Dombroski

Donald Dombroski passed on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, just six days before his 92nd birthday, at the Heatherhill Hospice Unit, New Port Richey, Fla., from end stage heart disease. He and his wife, Beatrice (Mazzolla), had been married for 38 years at the time of her passing in 1985.

He was the son of the late John and Josephine (Fox) Dombroski and attended West Scranton High School.

Enlisting in the Army/Air Force in 1947, he attained the rank of sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1950. Donald worked primarily as a machine attendant in manufacturing, retiring from RCA/Thompson. In July 2007, he moved to Florida to live the life that made him happy, and he was.

Donald was Dad to his daughters, Joni (Charlie) DeNapoli, Dunmore, and Rose Frick, Scranton, and Gramp to his grandchildren, Mike (Bobbi) DeNapoli, Jen (Brett Rickert) DeNapoli, Alanna (Joe) Bright, and Dave (Bryanne) Chandler. To his great-grandchildren - Joey Dillon; Charlie and Carmen DeNapoli; Emily, Maggie and Olivia Bright; and Gabe, Noah, Lilly, and Asher Chandler - he was Grandpa Duck.

He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Alan (Pee Wee) Frick in 2012.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
