Donna Marie (Rudolfi) Jenkins

Donna Marie Jenkins, 72, of Dunmore passed away Thursday peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was preceded in death by her husband the late Thomas Jenkins.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Silvi Rudolfi, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School.  Donna was an active member at Dunmore Presbyterian Church.

Donna was devoted to her family and loved cooking for them, especially Sunday dinners.  She also enjoyed planting flowers, shopping, and going to the casinos.  Her favorite vacation spots were Disney World and Las Vegas.  Donna was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and sister.  There was always something special and magical the way she treated her grandchildren, Michael and Alana.  Her face lit up and her smile was like sunshine whenever they were around.

The family would like to thank the staff at Allied Hospice, Geisinger CMC, and Pennsylvania Ambulance for all their kind and compassionate care they showed towards Donna.

She is survived by her daughter Joelle Ruddy and husband, Gene, Dunmore; sons, John Guimento and wife, Shelly, Dickson City; and Dominick Jenkins, Dunmore; sisters, Brenda Gallagher and husband, Jack, Dunmore, and Edith Cacciamani, Dunmore; a brother, Angelo Rudolfi, Olyphant; grandchildren, Michael Guimento and Alana Ruddy; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene Yzenas, and her former husband, Michael Guimento.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 208 Smith St., Dunmore.  All those attending are asked to follow current CDC guidelines in respect to wearing a mask and social distancing.

Interment to follow in Dunmore Cemetery.
