Donna Marie Ogden, 63, of Carbondale and formerly of Scranton, died Saturday afternoon at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre. Her husband, the late Thomas J. Ogden III, died June 29, 2005. The couple had been married for 21 years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Louise Zumblauskas Barthold and attended Scranton Technical High School.
Donna enjoyed arts and crafts, rummage sales, shopping and attending summer picnics and playing bingo. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her sons, Kevin Barthold, Moosic; and Thomas J. Ogden IV, Carbondale; daughters, Samantha Mecca and husband, Eric, Peckville; Kerrielyn Ogden and husband, Peter Sashko, Carbondale; and Katilyn Ogden, Taylor; grandchildren, Maddie and Miles Mecca, Amelia and Peter Sashko and a soon-to-be baby girl Sashko, Bradley and Caleb Ramsey, and Gaige Walter; sisters, Patricia and the late David Reese, Virginia; and Christine Washo and husband, George, Dickson City; a brother, Martin Barthold Jr. and wife, Melanie, Old Forge; sister-in-law, Bobby Ciance, of Scranton; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday, June 6, from the Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton, Carl J. Savino Jr., supervisor, with a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Patrick Church, 1403 Jackson St., Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
Family and friends may pay their respects Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Donna's family requests that those attending the services wear something purple in her honor and memory.
