Dr. Baldwin Dy, 51, died Aug. 14, 2020, at Lankenau Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
At the request of his family, a private Mass was held at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Scranton, Pa., on Aug. 17.
Dr. Dy was born on Sept. 23, 1968, to Alberto and Pacita Dy. He graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology in 1990 and completed his D.M.D. (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. After graduation, he moved to Scranton to practice dentistry at L&B Dental Design.
He was a gifted dentist, a devoted son and brother. He traveled all over the world and was an avid fisherman. He dedicated his life to general family dentistry, helping his patients and the community. He loved being around his friends and family.
Dr. Dy is survived by his mother, Pacita Dy; sister, Abigail Dy; brother, Clifton Dy; sister-in-law, Laney Quach; nephew, Hayden Dy; and brother, Clinton Dy. He was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Dy.
