Edward M. Buckery, 80, of Olyphant, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, March 4, 2024. Born on Sept. 17, 1943, in Scranton, Edward was the son of the late Peter and Mary Buckery.
Edward was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, honorably served in the United States Marines Corps, a member of many local social clubs and organizations, and retired after a notable career at Tobyhanna Army Depot. An avid Steelers fan, Edward enjoyed tinkering on projects around the house and putzing endlessly with yard work.
Edward was preceded in death by son, Edward Jr.; and sister, Rita Sparrow.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy Buckery; his daughters, Christine Buckery and Patricia Fenton. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kara Fenton; Scott Fenton and wife, Ashley; and great-grandson, Graham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
As per Edward’s request, a private memorial will be held for close family.
