Elenor Irene Caswell, Dunmore, 92, Dunmore, died early Sunday at Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation, Taylor. She was the widow of the late Ernest G. Caswell who died in 2011.
Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late John and Anna Bohmach Metcho, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School, Class of 1945. In her younger years, she was employed as a sales clerk for the Scranton Dry Goods Co. before her marriage and starting a family. She was a life-long member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church in Dunmore, and also its Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are sons, Thomas E. Caswell, Dunmore, and James Caswell and wife Kim; grandchildren Julie, James Jr., and Carrie; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Malinchak, Mary Katusak, and Helen Haschak; and twin brothers, Michael and John Metcho.
The funeral will be Thursday with Office of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, E. Drinker St., Dunmore. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
