Francis “Cheech” Pasqualichio, 87, of Dunmore, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ Tuesday afternoon at home. He is survived by the love of his life, the former Joan Underwood. The couple would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on July 16th.
Born in Scranton, raised in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Canio and Angelina Pasqualichio. He attended the Dunmore Public Schools and prior to retirement he was a meat cutter at, Pasqualichio Bros.
Affectionately known as “Cheech”, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather. His grandchildren could always count on him for a ride, a familiar face at their sports events or with a wise word of encouragement. He had the ability to make everyone feel welcome. Always fun to be around, he will be missed on the dance floor at family get togethers. His quick wit and one liners made you feel as if you were in a Three Stooges episode, which he loved.
Cheech had a knack for gardening and loved spending time in his garden with his wife. A simple man at heart, he cherished spending time with his family, especially gathering around the table enjoying his famous Sunday sauce. A loyal fan of the New York Yankees and Dunmore Bucks, he and his brother, “Moose,” his best friend, rarely missed a game together. His warm loving spirit shone through even in the darkest times, always leaving you feeling uplifted. Cheech will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
