Frank J. Arvonio, Sr., 68, of Dunmore, passed away on Thursday evening at Geisinger-Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. His wife, the former Linda Strazzeri passed away on July 16, 2021. The couple had been married for 45 years.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late John P. and Ida Picharella Arvonio. He was a graduate of the former Scranton Central High School and received an associate’s degree in business management from the former Lackawanna Jr. College in Scranton. Prior to retirement, he was a Systems Analyst at Tobyhanna Army Depot and an Airforce Veteran.
Frank cherished memories of family fishing trips during the summer months to Canada and upstate New York. He also enjoyed hunting. His dogs were his loving companions. He will be missed by Tinker, his faithful friend since 2022.
Surviving is a son, Frank J., Jr. and companion Jessica Hoffman, Dunmore. A granddaughter, Gianna Arvonio, Fulton, Mississippi. A sister, Patricia Arvonio, Eynon. Sister-in-law, Donna McHugh and husband Kevin, Dunmore. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A blessing service will be held on Sunday at 3:00pm at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., in Dunmore.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 1:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
