Gabriel R. Scioscia Obituary

Gabriel R. Scioscia, 77, Scranton, died Saturday in the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center in Scranton.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, the former Mary Louise Vitali.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Ralph and Laura L. Laerzio Scioscia, he was a graduate of West Scranton High School and went on to honorably serve in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed by RCA/Thompson Electronics.

He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hope Alexandra Scioscia.

The funeral will be Saturday from Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave., West Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the IHM Chapel, 1605 Oram St., West Scranton.
