Geraldine T. Sullivan, 89, of Dunmore, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Oak Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Taylor. Her husband, the late Daniel G. Sullivan passed away on February 13, 2018. The couple had been married for 48 years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Benny and Stella Kwiec Guzzi. Prior to retirement she worked in Admissions at Moses Taylor Hospital for over 30 years.
Geraldine was a woman of faith and was a member of the former Christ the King Church in Dunmore and currently a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Scranton. She enjoyed the holidays, baking and cooking were her specialties. She was the “rock” of the family and a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and was very proud of them. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her sons, Danny Sullivan and wife Amy, Pittston, and Timothy Sullivan and companion Stephanie Linko, Dunmore; grandchildren, Riley, Corey and Logan Sullivan, all of Dunmore; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St. Dunmore with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor Ave., Scranton.
Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 4-6pm at the funeral home.
