Gloria Antos Obituary

Gloria A. Antos, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, at Wesley Village Skilled Nursing Facility. She was the wife of the late Robert Antos, who passed away in 2024.

Born to the late Bernard and Martha Tressa Kriso , Gloria carried their strength and warmth throughout her life.

For 23 years, Gloria worked as a receptionist at JC Penney Beauty Salon, where she greeted everyone with kindness and a familiar smile. Her gentle presence and steady dedication made her a beloved part of the salon community.

Gloria was devoutly religious and found deep comfort in her faith. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Snows Parish in Clarks Summit, where she worshipped faithfully and formed lasting connections.

A lifelong reader and a deeply spiritual soul, Gloria approached the world with curiosity, warmth, and conviction. She was extremely outgoing; a natural leader who brought people together wherever she went. Her friends adored her for her generosity, her humor, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. She also loved to sing, sharing her angelic voice with those around her. Her favorite song to sing was O Holy Night.

She is survived by her daughters, Tiffany Dickson of South Abington Township and Heather Antos of Waverly; her sisters, Jane Smallcomb and fiancé Edward Sterowsky of Nanticoke, Mary Kay Walp and husband Gary of Swoyersville, and Lorraine Kopec and husband Stanley of Swoyersville; and her brother, Bernard Kriso and wife Lisa of Swoyersville. She is also survived by her cherished grandsons, Bryon Keith Dickson III and Adam Robert Dickson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Purple was Gloria’s favorite color, a small joy that reflected her vibrant spirit. In her honor, the family kindly asks all who attend her services to wear purple.

The funeral will be held Thursday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Clarks Summit. Interment to follow at Dunmore Cemetery.
