Gregory James Malcolm, 69, Scranton, died Sunday at home.
Born in Scranton, son of the late James and Romaine White Malcolm, he was a graduate of Scranton Central High School, and in 1975, he and his father were the first son-to-father kidney transplant in the United States, performed at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia. He was a talented musician with a passion for playing the bass guitar and also loved fishing, camping, and the outdoors.
Surviving is his son Gregory, grandson Matthew Malcolm, and former wife Patricia Tur Malcolm, all of Dunmore; and cousins Kevin Locker, Keith Locker, Bobbi Ann Locker, Ann Marie Locker, Tommy Sokso, and Patti White.
