Harriet Sharon May, 93, née Kreisler, was born on June 5, 1930 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Jacob and Rose Propper Kreisler. She died peacefully at the home of her beloved daughter, Cindy Levine, on January 27, 2024. Harriet joins her husband, forever companion, and sweetheart Philip in ever lasting peace.
Harriet and Phil were married for two months shy of seventy-three years, but were inseparable even before they married, since Harriet was 15 and Phil 16. He was the boy around the corner and through times of joy and great sorrow they were there for each other. They raised a family of three children and were blessed with eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Harriet once told her son when he was a toddler that we all have to pass to make room on this earth for those that follow. But this world will always have room for Harriet and more like her. Mom, grandma, Big Ma, great-grandma, we miss you and may you rest in the embrace of the almighty.
Surviving is a daughter, Cindy May Levine; a son, Laurence May and wife Anne; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jody May Berg.
A graveside service will take place Tueday at 1 p.m. at the Dalton Jewish Cemetery, 105 Shoemaker Road, Dalton.
