Harry Hastings, Jr. Obituary

Harry Paul Hastings, Jr., 60, Newfoundland and formerly of Scranton died suddenly Wednesday at his home.

Born in San Francisco, Ca., he was the son of Kathryn Mailen of Newfoundland and the late Harry Paul Hastings, Sr. Harry was a graduate of West Scranton High School Class of 1982.  He served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1982 - 1988. He was employed at Tobyhanna Army Depot since 2004.  Harry was a board member of Trinity Congregational Church in Scranton.

He is survived by a brother Kevin Hastings and his former wife Kim, Everett, WA, and their children Tammi Ann, Kyle, Kristopher and his wife Tiana, and Samantha Hastings, also a sister Wendi Weiss and her husband Tom from NJ and their 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Harry is also survived by several extended family members, including Brieanna, Connor, their children, Griffin, Olivia, Aiden, and Abby.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12pm in Trinity Congregational Church, 229 South Main Ave. in Scranton. Interment with military honors will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery in Dalton. Friends and family may pay respects at the church from 11AM until the time of the service.
