James Jude Hart, 68, of Scranton PA, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday with his wife of 30 years, Fern Pollack Hart, and his faithful dog, Rusty at his side.
He was the son of Donald P. and Anne T. Kanavey Hart.
Jimmy, as he was known to many, was raised in Minooka. He was a union man through and through, working as a mason tender in the Laborers' Local 130. He was proud to be a crew member during the building of the Steamtown Mall. He was also a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 5 as a finisher.
He participated in many local car shows, even winning a few trophies with his bright red Z/28 Camaro. He was also an avid pool player in the APA.
Jim is survived by brother Don Hart and wife Mari, Covington Twp.; sisters Roseann Krisanda, Moosic Lakes, Linda Thiel, Scranton, Denise Nails of Dunmore; brother-in-law, Michael Rinaldi, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters Kelly Rinaldi, infant sister, Mary Megan, and brother-in-law, Zak Krisanda.
The family wishes to thank Home Health Care & Hospice for their compassionate and caring support.
The Funeral will be Friday, December 13, from Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St.in Dunmore.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 1:00pm-2:00pm with a service to follow by Rabbi Daniel Swartz.
Interment, Temple Israel Cemetery, Dunmore.
