Janet B. Widzbell, 79, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5.
Janet was born in Scranton on March 7, 1946, Janet was the daughter of the late Norwood and Dorothy Williams Steenback. She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School Class of 1964, and continued her education at the Community Medical Center School of Nursing where she graduated at the top of her class in June of 1967. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a registered nurse throughout the region.
Janet is survived by her loving, and devoted husband of 57, years Joseph Widzbell; her daughter Kristen DiVito and husband Rich; her son Scott Widzbell; her three beautiful grandchildren, Sammy DiVito, Joey DiVito, Jeremy Widzbell and wife Rachel; and great-granddaughter Aveline;IN addition Janet is survived by her sister Judy Willis and husband Bill; brother Billy Steenback and wife Kathy; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Janet’s life will take place with family and friends at a future date.
