Jerome M. Blum Obituary

Jerome M. Blum, 84, of Dunmore, passed away on Wednesday morning at Allied Services Hospice Center in Scranton. His wife and the love of his life, the former Claire Louise Sullivan passed away on August 23, 2013.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Sol and Sylvia Marcus Blum. He was a graduate of the former Central Scranton High School and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to retirement, he was a dock worker at Supermarket Services in Dunmore.

Jerome enjoyed riding his Harley and taking his wife along for all of the rides and adventures especially traveling to Bike Week every year. He was an avid reader and in his younger years was a reputable body builder. He was a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family. He is now reunited with his bride, Claire, whom he missed every day.

Surviving are his children; Julie Manley and husband Bob Lundberg, Clarks Green, James Tolan and wife Denise, Allentown and Jane Vitali, Scranton. Grandchildren; Jerome Manley and wife Nicole, John and Jacob Manley, Mia and Louis Vitali III and Kayla Tolan. Great grandchildren; Grace Claire and Jacklyn Manley. Nieces and nephews. Sisters-in-law; Patricia Runco and husband Tony, Utah and Fran Sullivan, FL.

He was also preceded in death by a niece; Erin Dermody, a grandson; Robbie Lundberg and a son-in-law; Louis Vitali, Jr.

There are no public services at this time.

Inurnment is private at the convenience of the family at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
