John Gazoo, 95, Mt. Cobb, died Monday at home.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Dombroski Gazoo. He served honorably with the United States Air Force as a radio mechanic. Prior to retirement he was employed by Feibus & Gordon Inc. “Poppy” as he was known by all, was a great man. He loved the outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or spending time in his garden. He looked forward to making his homemade wine and sharing it with family and friends. Poppy enjoyed spending time with his family especially his great-granddaughter Olivia. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
Surviving is his beloved daughter who was his caretaker, Tina Coar and her husband Marty, Mt. Cobb, his son John Gazoo and his wife Tamy, Gulf Breeze, FL, grandchildren, Marty Coar, Kellie Coar Snyder and her husband Brad, John Gazoo and his wife Morgan, Tyler Gazoo and his wife Kendra, and Laura Norfleet and her husband Scott, great grandchildren Olivia, Preslyn, Haisley, Maverick, Axl, Grayson, Abigail, Benjamin, and Kaytlyn as well as several nieces and nephews.
The last of 10 children, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph, Thomas, Anthony, Raymond, Edward, and Robert and three sisters, Stella Drosinski, Dorothy Mastrogiovanni, and Anna Trapani.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 208 Smith St., Dunmore. Interment to follow at Dunmore Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 9:30AM to 10:30 AM at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, PA
