John R. Legg

John R Legg 75, formerly of 230 W. Lackawanna Ave, Olyphant Pa.  had passed at Allied Service hospice unit, Scranton, on January 16, 2024

John was an avid fisherman and Hunter; he also enjoyed bowling. John had spent most of his life as a steel worker before retirement.

John was the son of the late Dorothy B. (Matheson) Legg and John (Jack) E. Legg. John was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Legg; siblings: Daniel Legg, Joseph Legg, Dorothy Ann Slater and Beverly Webb. 

John is survived by his two daughters: Sherry Phillips of Old Forge and Danielle Smith of Scranton. Son in-law, Michael Phillips. Grandchildren: Chelsea Flantzman, Shane Legg, Mara Smith and Ariela Baresse. Great-grandchild, Sebastian Flantzman.
