John A. Morelli

John A. Morelli, 82, of Dunmore, died Monday afternoon at home.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Flory and Margaret Hoizan Morelli. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School and the University of Scranton and a member of SS Anthony & Rocco Parish in Dunmore.  Prior to retirement he worked for the State of New Jersey as a counselor in the state correction’s system. 

Surviving are aunts, Millie Morelli and Theresa Garbolino, both of Dunmore. Several cousins.

John enjoyed traveling and taking daily walks. He was devoted to his faith and attended mass faithfully. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 9:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith St. in Dunmore.

Interment, St. Michael’s Cemetery in Dunmore.
