Joseph Michael Prebish, 60, Throop, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at his home.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Mary Jane Barlow Prebish of Dunmore and the late Joseph R. Prebish. Joe was a graduate of Dunmore High School Class of 1979. He has worked at the Dunmore Cemetery for the past 23 years, a job he loved. One of his greatest enjoyments was riding his Harley motorcycle. He will be missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.
Also surviving are his companion, Betty Vogt, a daughter, Ashley Prebish and her boyfriend William, a brother, William Prebish and his wife Phyllis, a stepson, Daniel Mecca, a grandson, Anthony Cassidy, a step granddaughter, Zoe Mecca, a niece, Kristine Siniawa, a nephew and godson, William A. Prebish, and a great niece, Adlyn Siniawa.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Howard and Leona Barlow, and Paternal grandparents Steve and Anna Prebish.
A blessing service will be held Wednesday at 10AM in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore. Interment to immediately follow in the Dunmore Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 5pm-8pm.
