Kelly Eileen Turner, 45, died after a long struggle with addiction. Born in Scranton on May 2, 1980, she was the daughter of the late Gary and Doreen Turner. She was a 1998 graduate of Dunmore High School and a 2003 graduate of Marywood University. Kelly was smart and hardworking. She had a great sense of humor and a witty personality. She was quick with a joke, comment, or nickname. Her laughter was infectious. She loved music, especially Prince. She is survived by her sisters Kim Kanuik (Rich) and Coleen Turner (Joe Sheridan); her nephew Nathan Kanuik, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, John and Rosemary McNerney; paternal grandparents David and Elaine Turner, a nephew Daniel Gary Kanuik, aunts and uncles. The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff of Wilson Medical Center ICU and palliative care team for the compassionate care administered to Kelly. There will be no public service.
