Lance Cpl. Tyler Stephen Sitar Obituary

Lance Cpl. Tyler Stephen Sitar, 22, of Dunmore, passed away Friday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Robert “Chico” and Rebecca Pasqualichio Sitar and was a graduate of Dunmore High School’s class of 2017. He attended Lackawanna College and was currently working as a driver for Canada Dry. He was a proud Marine and active in the Marine Corps.
Tyler always had a love for life. He came into this world beaming and will always be his parents’ pride and joy. Tyler took on his role of big brother like no other. He always was there to love, help, encourage and guide his siblings. He truly was the best role model and will forever continue to be.
Ever since a very young age, Tyler expressed interest in serving his country, particularly, United States Marine Corps. As he deeply admired the service of his Grandma Joan, Grandpa Sitar and who respectfully served in the United States Army and the United States Air Force. Tyler held a profound respect for his uncles, First Sgt. (Ret.) Anthony Pasqualichio, U.S. Army; and Sgt. Shawn Sitar, USMC. Tyler thrived in the Corps. He truly loved the camaraderie of his Marine brothers. Tyler had aspirations to continue to humbly serve his country.
Tyler was an ambitious, hard worker with a heart of gold. He would drop everything to help friends, even strangers. He had a larger-than-life personality, living his life with such love and compassion for people and animals alike. Tyler had the best sense of humor, he left people in a wake of laughter. Not only was he an amazing friend, as he cherished his friends like family, he was the best big brother and the most amazing son. Tyler will be deeply missed by all of those who were blessed to have known him.
