Laure M. Stasik

Laure M. Stasik, 64, of Scranton, passed away Saturday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.

Born in Scranton on August 16, 1959 to the late Edward and Marion “Barney” Sahara Stasik, she was a graduate of West Scranton High School, Class of 1977 and went on to obtain her master’s degree from Marywood University.  She owned and operated the former Alternative Eating in Scranton.

She is survived by her sister Ruthie Stasik, Scranton; sister-in-law Jeane Stasik, South Carolina; 3 nephews, Chris (Sarah) Stasik, Tom (Raquel) Stasik, and Paul Stasik (Dan Smith); 3 great-nephews, Ashton, Eddie, and Tucker; and a great-niece, Briana.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Stasik.

A private mass will be held at a later date.
