Lester J. Gruszecki, 66, of Old Forge, passed away Tuesday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Preceded in passing by his wife, Colleen Gruszecki, on July 18, 2014. The couple had been married for 34 years.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Evelyn Gruszecki. He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was employed at Patterson Dental Company until retirement.
Lester enjoyed the simplicities of life: his Pontiac, barbecuing, drinks around a fire and spending time with his family. He was often found to be engaged in household projects and being the neighborhood handyman.
He will be remembered by his children, Mark Gruszecki and Lisa Gruszecki and her significant other, Andrew Rooney; his grandson, Jaxson Rooney; and his beloved dog, Bailey.
A blessing service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, Carl J. Savino, Jr., supervisor, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service. All those attending are kindly and respectfully asked to socially distance and are required to wear a mask.
Inurnment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
