Lillian (Betti) Sweda

Lillian Sweda, 83, of Dunmore, died Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Sweda, in 2006.

Born in Jessup, daughter of the late Peter and Barbara Cardoni Betti, she was a graduate of Jessup High School and was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore. Before retirement, she was employed by Catholic Golden Age. Lil was someone who lived life to the fullest and was always on the go. She enjoyed swimming with her friends and getting together with them right up until the last couple of years. She was an avid bowler, an active community volunteer and really liked attending Dunmore High School football games.

She adored her grandkids and loved partaking in their activities and special life events.

Surviving are sons, George and wife, Mary, South Abington Twp.; Bruce and wife, Pamela, Mount Cobb; a brother, Benjamin Betti, Dunmore; grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, and Corey; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private burial service was held Saturday in St. John's Cemetery, Jessup.
