Lillian "Lil" Levy Obituary

Lillian (Lil) Levy, 96, of Boca Raton, FL and formerly of Scranton, died Monday morning in Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Florida.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin E. Levy, in 1997.

Born in Kingston, PA, daughter of the late Nathan and Ethel Getz Weinstein, Lil led a full life that was characterized by her beauty and charm, her warm, energetic personality and her zest for life.  To her friends, she had a charismatic appeal that allowed her to easily form friendships in so many different circles.  To her children, she played such a critical role not only in enabling and shaping their lives, but those of future generations as well. Lil’s grandchildren revered the time they spent with her and she always served as a role model to teach them to treat people with grace and kindness.

Surviving are sons Frederick Levy of Highland Beach, FL; and Bruce Levy and wife Beth of Huntington Valley, PA; grandchildren Joshua Bullock and wife Maggie, and their children Mabel, Martin, and Hazel; Callie Bullock; Jason Levy and wife Dr. Ariel Levy and their daughter Harper; Dana Levy, Zach Levy, and Brittany Levy; her sister Rose Mae Weinstein of King of Prussia; as well as nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Levy Bullock, and brother, Samuel Weinstein.

The funeral will be Thursday with services at 11:30 a.m. in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
