Louis T. Engleman, 68, of West Scranton, passed away on Monday, August 3, at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He and his wife, the former Judy Prisco, had shared 42 years of marriage this past July.
Born in Orange, NJ, on November 17, 1957, he was the son of the late Charles and Lenola Huck Engleman. Louis attended Scranton Technical High School and later earned a degree in data processing. He worked at Olympic Chimney until his retirement in 2025.
Louis is survived by his children, Amanda and Louis; and his son‑in‑law, Tom. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Thomas, Caleb, Colton, Autumn, Aiden, and Bentley; his brothers Billy (Diane) and Larry (Natie); siblings Joseph and Lois of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his brothers Charles, Earl, and Michael, and his sister Carol.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 6, at 1 p.m. in the Cathedral Cemetery Chapel, 1708 Oram St., Scranton.
