Louis ‘Moose’ Pasqualicchio, 91, of Dunmore died Sunday afternoon at Hospice of the Sacred Heart surrounded by his sons and their families, his cousin Larry Nicolais, and cherished godson, Gary Muracco. His wife of 65 fun years was Theresa (nee Gruttaduria), who passed July 13, 2022. His beloved sister Mary Muracco passed three weeks ago. (Their passing left a hole in his heart)
A lifelong resident of Dunmore, he was the son of the late Angela (nee Cantarella) and Canio Pasqualicchio. He lived his entire life in the family home on Dudley Street. He was fiercely loyal and protective of his extended family including his cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.
A decorated combat veteran of the Korean war, he proudly served in the U.S. Army, 25 Infantry, 27th Regiment- The Wolfhounds. Educated in Dunmore Schools, he worked for Spotless Cleaners for over 50 years. He belonged to the American Legion Post 13 and the San Cataldo Club. He was a lifelong supporter of the Dunmore Bucks. He was a parishioner at SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish and proud of his Calitrani heritage.
Surviving are his brother and best friend Frank ‘Cheech’ and wife Joan Pasqualichio of Dunmore and sister-in-law Mary Pasqualichio of Glenburn; sons, Louis and wife Karen of Dunmore, Thomas and wife Mary Beth of Glenburn; Five beloved grandchildren, Louis and wife Carolyn, and Michael, all of Dunmore, Theresa and Tim Kennedy of Eagle, Colorado, Lauren and husband Lester “Bill” Maxwell of Wayne County and Victoria Pasqualicchio of Clarks Summit. He adored his cherished great grandchildren, Ana, Steph, JT, Robyn, Damian, Abygail, Avery, Michael and his newest great grandbaby Annamaria. He also leaves behind his dear friend Nancy Holovack and her daughter Lauren Holovack, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Pat ‘Weeks’ and Canio ‘Poncho’, sisters Antoinette ‘Moe’ Brassard, Anna Pehota, Jean ‘Beansie’ Franchetti, Angela ‘Nippy’, and his beloved Mary Muracco.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker Street, Dunmore, PA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 303 Smith Street, Dunmore, PA. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
